More than 2 billion apps have been downloaded on the iPhone so far and there’s been plenty of hype about this.  But new data from mobile analytics firm Flurry shows only 32% of apps are used more than 60 days after they’re downloaded and only 25% are used more than 90 days after they’re downloaded.

The chart above posted on Business Insider shows good news for news apps, which have the highest retention rates.  But in the entertainment, books and lifestyle categories, most apps are collecting dust.
