imagesFar and away the coolest bit of tech I’ve seen during the past few weeks is the augmented reality overlay on my iPhone’s Yelp app. (First it was an Easter egg that involved a ridiculous degree of shaking to activate; now it’s an explicit part of the app.)

Augmented reality is one of those terms that’s still undergoing definition—it means different things to different people. But VentureBeat has an excellent piece explaining it all for you, and laying out who the most interesting AR developers are, here.
